Jo Murphy
Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Industry Relations @CAIA Association
Jo has been based in Asia, predominately in Hong Kong, for over 20 years. During her tenure she has held a number of senior management positions, leading sales, business development, marketing, and CRM divisions and has both built and managed large and effective regionally-located teams. After moving to Hong Kong with Morgan Stanley, Jo also worked for both HSBC and Deutsche Bank covering intermediary, buy and sell side roles and held an entrepreneurial position at Triple A Partners. She now focuses on the education environment. All these roles have had a consistent focus on the Alternative Investment industry. Jo enjoys the reputation of being capable, committed, and commercial, was voted “Asia’s most influential woman in AI” and one of “The 25 most influential people in Asian hedge funds.” She is a founding member of Hong Kong’s AIMA Chapter, holds a number of Board positions, and is a Fellow of UniSIM University.
Jack Wu, CFA
Director, Content, Asia Pacific @CAIA Association
Jack Wu serves as Director of Content, Asia Pacific at CAIA, where he supports the research, curation and development of knowledge in the alternative investment space. He is also responsible for executing the organisation’s content strategy and CAIA Charter Program curriculum. Prior to his role at CAIA Association, Jack served as an investment professional at fund manager - Credit Suisse and SC Capital Partners - focusing on Real Estate asset class where he completed over $800 million of direct investments across Asia Pacific markets, and across real estate types. He has also worked at financial institution as an industry specialist focusing on power, oil & gas and real estate, and at sovereign wealth fund where he completed manager investments and direct investments in both private equity and real estate space. Jack earned a 1st class hons in Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering). He also holds the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Wendy Leung
Assistant Director, Asia Pacific, External Relations @CAIA Association
As the Assistant Director for Asia Pacific, Wendy works closely with the Global Business Development team, the Marketing team and CMR team at the headquarters office in Amherst. Wendy is responsible for designing, organizing, and coordinating conference sponsorships, educational summits, member-focused events and other CAIA Association marketing and program events across Asia Pacific. She also provides timely key support to our Members and Candidates in APAC including guiding Candidates through the enrollment, scheduling, and grading processes and enhancing current Members' CAIA experience. Wendy graduated from The University of Huddersfield with a BA (Hons) International Business, before migrating to Hong Kong where she worked for a corporate events organization producing small to large scale conferences and galas. Since joining CAIA, she completed the Fundamentals of Alternative Investments program and earned her FAI certificate in August 2014.
