Rebecca Fender, CFA
Senior Director, Future of Finance @CFA Institute
Rebecca Fender, CFA, leads the Future of Finance initiative, which is the thought leadership platform for CFA Institute. Her group publishes studies to help investment professionals build their careers and serve their clients more effectively. Ms. Fender has testified before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee AI Task Force on the impact of artificial intelligence on investment roles. She speaks regularly at industry events and has been quoted in the Financial Times, Bloomberg, and the New York Times, among others. Prior to joining CFA Institute, Ms. Fender was a vice president at BlackRock working with pension funds and endowments, and she also worked at Cambridge Associates, where she published research about manager selection. She earned her undergraduate degree in economics from Princeton University and holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
Carol Jeppesen, CAIA
Head of US @UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
Carol Jeppesen is the Head of US, Signatory Relations for the UN supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) based in New York and is responsible for PRI’s largest institutional investor market. PRI is recognized as the leading global network for investors committed to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into their investment practices and ownership policies. The organization has grown significantly since its founding in 2006 and today represents over 3,000 signatories, globally, collectively managing over half of the world’s investable assets. Carol has more than 20 years of experience in financial services at firms including Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. She holds BS/ BA degrees in Finance and Economics from Boston University, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and was an inaugural delegate of the Sustainability Leadership Forum at Yale University in 2016.
