Richard Roche

Rick Roche joined Little Harbor Advisors, LLC in April 2013 as a Managing Director. Little Harbor Advisors (LHA) is a Boston-area sponsor of quantitative and risk-responsive investment strategies. He has 39 years’ experience in investment management and is a committed lifelong learning. Rick is the founder of Roche Invest AI, LLC, a consultancy that promotes the use of machine learning and alternative investment data in quantitative models. Rick is considered a “Light Quant” (knowledgeable about AI/ML & Alt-Data), an avid reader and compulsive counter. He holds Series 3 (Commodities), 7, 63 and 65 licenses. Rick earned his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charter designation in 2014. He is a Member of the Society of Quantitative Analysts (SQA), the New York Alternative Investment Roundtable (NY-AIR) and a Professional Membership at CFANY. Rick earned a B.A.-History from the University of Dayton.
Aaron Filbeck
Director, Global Content Development @CAIA Association
Aaron Filbeck is responsible for content development and the strategic direction of CAIA Association’s continuing education strategy. A demonstrated writer, Aaron has published on topics such as environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing, liquid alternatives, commodities, and asset pricing/factor investing. Prior to his role at CAIA Association, Aaron served as a portfolio manager and oversaw manager research and portfolio construction efforts at The Joseph Group Capital Management. Aaron earned a B.S. with distinction in Finance and a Master of Finance from Penn State University. His holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), and Financial Data Professional (FDP) designations. He is President of CFA Society Columbus and serves on multiple advisory boards for the Sam & Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend.
